TpT Tips: Increasing Sales

Saturday, September 12, 2015

Wow!! It's been a long, long time! So how did everyone's summer go? Hopefully, it went very well! I spent mine creating a handful of new products and a lot of bundles, bundles, bundles! And I also welcomed a little Bundle of joy this summer, my first baby girl, EmmaKate. I know, such an adorable, southern name. I just love it.

So, back to the tips. I can tell you I've really improved my sales since creating bundles for some of my most popular items. Create bundles and create lot's of them! Buyers, especially teachers, love, love, love things on sale! I know I do! Here's two examples of my cover pages for my bundles! They were so fun to make! I just love to create things that are popping!

One last random tip I would like to give is this. I had a few buyers ask for particular things, such as a poster here or a poster there and I started to realize I was doing a lot of extra work for free. Well, I decided it was worth it to create listings for custom orders so I did and it is going so much better! Click the image below to see my listing!

I hope all of this helps!!!! Good luck with your TpT store!!!

Grow your TpT with Store Improvements

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

So you've had your TpT store for several years now and this summer you just don't feel the ideas flowing for new product lines. That's okay. Don't panic until next summer, at least. This summer, simply focus on your marketing strategies and how presentable your store looks.

SELLER TIP #1: Making your store attractive

So, first off, you want your store to be eye catching because when a buyer lands on your page, you want them to look at your products and mosey around for a bit. This will likely lead to a sell. I started with my banner. I'm a chalkboard kind of girl with pinks and teals, just basically anything girly. This banner is just perfect for my store and it goes along with my blogger theme (we'll talk blogger in a few). The next things I did were to make sure that the products I placed at the top as featured were attractive and had either good ratings or none at all if they were new. A lot of my products featured in my store at the moment are new so they don't have ratings and that's okay! This is a picture of my banner I created. It's just me. Make sure the banner you create fits your style and not someone else's.

The next things I have been working on this summer are making over some of my cover pages. I have joined the TpT {seller} Makeover challenge and it really got me hopping. I took a minute to look through my store and found some products that just weren't pretty and gave them a makeover! As you can see, I got a little carried away. I've also made over a few more, but I couldn't help myself.

Last, but not least your store categories. Make sure they are organized and easy to follow. I cleared some of mine out, rearranged some products and deleted a few categories that had absolutely nothing in them. To modify these, you need to hover over "My TpT" and click on "Product Listings". This will allow you to see your categories on the left with a "MANAGE YOUR CATEGORIES" link. Easy as pie.

I hope these tips will help you in making your store more attractive!

Have a great day!

FREEBIE!!! Test Prep Worksheets

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

We've all been prepping for testing all year long. Just the other day, one of my kids had asked that one question all teachers get asked at one point or another, "Why do we need to know this?" Before I answered, another student spoke up and said "It's going to be on the test, duh." That just really can get to me sometimes. I really don't like having to prep so much for a test that isn't truly going to show the intelligence of a child. There are so many things that can affect a test result. You have students who have test anxiety, or they may not take their time or care for that matter. Then in the end, all of this is reflected on you the teacher. To get off my soap box now, I'm offering another morning work FREEBIE. If you're in need of some 3rd or 4th grade math review in multiplication, adding and subtracting multi-digit whole numbers, and word problems, check out this limited time FREEBIE

Have a great week!

MY TIEKS PURCHASE

UPDATED 1/29/2018
So, I took the leap once again and purchased a camel color pair of Tieks size 8. I have searched high and low for how long? Since 2014! The Tieks were the only flat that felt good and didn't make blisters. They hurt my toenails at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, I was finally able to get the stretch they needed to mold to my foot! I just want to let you ladies out there know that they are pretty awesome! I get lot's of compliments on them as well and people have asked about the blue on the bottom of my shoes. I know they are pricey, but I find that they are worth it. No blisters and comfort, I'm good to go! I hope this helps all you ladies out there!

My Tieks arrived a week ago. I absolutely love everything about them except two things which I will explain further on down. I went with the ballerina pink, which is so beautiful and it will match all kinds of outfits. I slipped them onto my feet and they just felt "okay".

First, I want to say that these shoes are very high quality. They have great support (thus, the blue soles) with a thick foot bed, they have soft buttery leather that feels lovely, the back of the shoes do not rub. and they look absolutely great with skinny jeans. One other thing that is brilliant about this brand is the customer service! This is the only company that has that perfected. They told me to wear them around for a week or so (inside) and see if they would mold to my feet. If they didn't, I could return them for a full refund. You also have forever to return them as long as you don't wear them outside! They are wonderful to work with.

So, the two problems I had were in the toe area (keep in mind, my big toenails point slightly upward) and one shoe rubbed the top of my foot so much that I knew it would cause blisters. I believe it was the stitching. The toe area was my biggest concern. I absolutely cannot stand for shoes to squish my toenails on my big toes and make them sore. The shoes were the correct length because I've had a size larger in the past (they don't offer half sizes) and they were much too large. It was just the actual top part of the shoe that caused the soreness. I've posted some pictures to the left. You can see where I'm referring to. In the first picture, my feet are relaxed and that pointy spot is where my toenails get squished by the leather. I wore them for about three days at home with thick socks to attempt to stretch them a little. This was very painful for my toes, but I was determined to keep these Tieks. In the end, the right shoe got some better, but the left shoe remained the same. If you have flatter toenails, maybe they actually point straight or down, you would probably be able to wear these shoes comfortably.

The verdict. Sadly, I am going to return them. I just can't bare the thought of owning a pair of pricey flats and not even being able to wear them comfortably unless I have my sister-in-law break them in or something. Luckily, Spring is in the air and sandals will be worn like crazy by this pregnant chick.

I absolutely love the Tieks company! They are wonderful to work with and you may find a perfect pair, but for this girl, they're not my match. If you are nervous and have been studying on whether or not you'd like to purchase Tieks, they do offer FREE shipping both ways! Have a great day!
